Improving adult language, literacy and numeracy

The Minister for Education, Julia Gillard, today released the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) to tackle language, literacy and numeracy challenges in adults.
A recent Adult Literacy and Life Skills survey found that approximately 40 per cent of employed and 60 per cent of unemployed Australians have poor literacy and numeracy skills.
