An assessment tool that will assist educators to identify adult learners’ literacy and numeracy skill levels is to be developed by the TEC and the New Zealand Council for Educational Research (NZCER) under a contract signed on 23 September. To develop this project, NZCER has brought together a team that includes the Australian Council for Educational Research and Fronde, an IT solution provider. Dave Tout From Australia, who is recognised as an international numeracy expert, is working with ACER on the assessment tool project.
