STATE BUDGET DELIVERS BOOST FOR VICTORIA’S TAFES (VIC)

Students and staff of Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE will benefit from a major redevelopment of its Charleston Road campus under a $40 million Brumby Government skills boost to upgrade Victoria’s world-class TAFE institutes. In Bendigo, Premier John Brumby said the 2008-09 State Budget would invest $11 million to upgrade facilities at the Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE (BRIT), ensuring it remained a leader in vocational education. We are taking action to invest in the skills of Victorians no matter where they live, Mr Brumby said.
