NEW COMMITTEE TO SET THE FUTURE DIRECTION OF ADULT COMMUNITY EDUCATION (NSW)

Minister for Education and Training, John Della Bosca, said new legislation had been passed in State Parliament on 9 May to establish an advisory committee to guide the future direction of Adult Community Education (ACT) in NSW.

The new NSW Advisory Committee on ACE:

-features a membership which is broader than the old Board

-has the representation of state government agencies

-will benefit froma broader representation of the sector with the peak body - Community Colleges NSW - and rural and metropolitan colleges represented.
