Less red tape and better delivery of frontline services will result from a realignment of TAFE NSW, the Director-General of Education and Training, Michael Coutts-Trotter, announced today. “As Australia’s number one training provider, TAFE New South Wales is responding to industry’s changing needs by involving employers more closely in industry training,” Mr Coutts-Trotter said. “TAFE’s 500,000 students will also benefit by having their training made increasingly relevant to the needs of potential employers. The realignment supports TAFE Institutes developing local arrangements to meet local training needs, which allows greater workplace customisation.”
