HJ Heinz, in partnership with Simplot Australia, has released its new multimedia demonstration preparing food production staff for Certificate II in Food Processing. The Food Processing Compliance e-learning demonstration provides staff new to food production with online resources and multimedia packages for educating and training that can be delivered in a flexible manner, accessed at their own pace, and provides an on-demand reference tool. Funded by the national training system’s e-learning strategy, the Australian Flexible Learning Framework, and developed in partnership with Workplace Learning Initiatives and Learning Seat, the demonstration promotes a standardised approach to food production issues including hygiene, workplace health and safety, and quality control measures. This demonstration contains essential knowledge for food production staff, but its flexible delivery makes it possible for it to be used as a refresher course for existing staff. Topics covered in this industry e-learning demonstration include:

  • occupational health and safety procedures
  • food safety compliance
  • food hygiene
  • food safety management.

Although the demonstration covers essential knowledge for the food production industry, the demonstration can be used as a guide to developing e-learning across a variety of industries. To access the Food Processing Compliance e-learning demonstration, its case study, business plan and other additional information visit: http://tinyurl.com/29c6yr The Food Processing Compliance e-learning demonstration is one of 13 Industry Engagement projects reviewed in E-learning flexibility: Providing business solutions. To order a copy simply email industry@flexiblelearning.net.auFor more information about 2008 funding opportunities and the 40 industry e-learning demonstrations developed between 2005 – 2007 visit the E-learning for Industry website at: http://www.industry.flexiblelearning.net.au.
