Find out how businesses are using e-learning to speed up skills acquisition at a free industry event in
Melbourne on 22 November.

Hear about industry e-learning solutions to skills shortages from the Australian Stainless Steel Development Association, who are teaching gas tungsten arc welding online; Tradelink, who are upskilling mature workers through retail management e-training; and how an innovative mobile phone solution using RFID (radio frequency identification) technology will enable the e-profiling of apprentices.

Explore business e-learning solutions in a range of industries including hospitality and tourism; retail; laundry and textile; health and community services; and food production. Along with individual presentations, there will be an expo where 17 businesses will be available to demonstrate their e-learning solutions online.

Learn about funding opportunities and new research on the uptake of e-learning in small business.

Funded and supported through the national training system’s e-learning strategy, the Australian Flexible Learning Framework, the industry e-learning demonstrations can be used as ideas by other businesses encountering similar training and development issues.

The 2007 Industry E-learning Showcase is being held on Thursday 22 November at the Sofitel Melbourne. Please note numbers are limited for this free event and online registration is essential.
