Join August’s E-learning Networks Community Forum (Forum), and take a look at the tools that should be in every educator’s ‘e-learning shed’.
The Forum is a place where vocational education and training (VET) professionals can come together to increase their professional development in relation to the integration of technology in education and training.
This month’s topic is ‘Cool Tools for E-Learning’, and there will be plenty of opportunities to ‘play’ with many tools including blogs, wikis, online games, social book-marking tools, online mapping tools, and e-portfolios.
And if you have ever wondered what the favourite tools of the world’s e-learning gurus are, don’t miss the ‘Top 10 Personal Favourite Online Tools’ discussion.
The gurus who will discuss their favourite tools include:
- Jay Cross, who is the founder of Internet Time Group,
USA - Barry Dahl, who is CIO at Lake Superior College,
Duluth, Minnesota, USA - Jane Hart, who is Head of the Centre for Learning & Performance Technologies,
UK - Clive Shepherd, who is a learning consultant based in Brighton in the
UK.
Another special guest in August’s Forum will be Helen Lynch, who is the
Australian Capital Territory’s Flexible Learning Toolbox Champion.
Flexible Learning Toolboxes (Toolboxes) are high quality, cost effective products featuring scenarios, images and interactive activities that simulate real life. They are designed for use by training providers and industry.
Helen will be presenting a live Elluminate session ‘From the Repository to the CD‘ on the 23 August at 10.30am AEST.
And Adam Frey, from Wikispaces in the
US, will discuss how to create and use wikis in the classroom in a recorded Elluminate session.
